Amazing Messages of Virgin Mary Warning a World Catastrophe: The Miracle of Our Lady of Akita

This is a true story of a wooden statue of Virgin Mary that wept 101 times.

In the former posts, I introduced various miracles of Our Lady of Akita.

By the way, why did these miraculous phenomena happen in Akita, Japan?

Bishop Ito pointed out that those miracles had something to do with messages from the statue of the Virgin Mary which Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa (born May 28, 1931) received with her deaf ears.

In this post, I would like to introduce amazing messages of Our Lady of Akita.

Our Lady of Akita, a miraculous wooden statue that wept 101 times.

The Miracle of Our Lady of Akita

The following story is based on the book “Akita: The Tears and Message of Mary” written by Father Teiji Yasuda (1916 – 2013), chaplain of the convent in Akita, Japan.

In this book, Father Yasuda introduced “Our Lady of Akita,” a miraculous wooden statue of the Holy Mother Mary that wept 101 times and shed blood from its hand.

It may be hard to believe, but on March 14, 1989, the Most Rev. John Shojiro Ito (1909-1993), retired Bishop of Niigata approved this book in the following words:

I recommend this book and testify that its contents are true.

Actually, the weeping and bleeding statue of the Virgin Mary was so miraculous that it was broadcast on Japanese national television.

Furthermore, it gained notice with the miraculous healing of hearing loss of Sr. Sasagawa who received messages from the Blessed Virgin.

Therefore, it was a miracle happened to an obscure convent in Akita.

The 1st Message from Our Lady of Akita

The first message was given on the morning of July 6, 1973, first Friday of the month.

Sr. Sasagawa heard a voice from the incandescent statue of Mary, saying:

My daughter, my novice, you have obeyed Me well in abandoning all to follow Me.

Is the infirmity of your ears painful?

Your deafness will be healed, be sure. Be patient.

Does the wound of your hand cause you to suffer?

Pray in reparation for the sins of men.

Each person in this community is my irreplaceable daughter.

Do you say well the prayer o f the Handmaids of the Eucharist?

Then, let us pray it together.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, I consecrate my body and soul to be entirely one with Your Heart being sacrificed at every instant on all the altars o f the world, and giving praise to the Father, pleading for the coming of His Kingdom.

Please receive this humble offering of myself Use me as You will for the glory of the Father and the salvation of souls.

Most Holy Mother of God never let me be separated from your Divine Son.

Please defend and protect me as Your special child.

Amen.

Pray very much for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.

The 2nd Message from Our Lady of Akita

The second message was given on the morning of August 3, 1973, first Friday of the month.

It was given by the voice from the statue of the Virgin Mary like the first time.

My daughter, my novice, do you love the Lord?

If you love the Lord, listen to what I have to say to you.

It is very important.

You will convey it to your superior.

Many men in this world afflict the Lord.

I desire souls to console Him to soften the anger of the Heavenly Father.

I wish, with my Son, for souls who will repair by their suffering and their poverty for the sinners and ingrates.

In order that the world might know His anger, the Heavenly Father is preparing to inflict a great chastisement on all mankind.

With my Son, I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father.

I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood and beloved souls who console Him and form a cohort of victim souls.

Prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father’s anger.

I desire this also from your community, that it love poverty, that it sanctify itself and pray in reparation for the ingratitude and outrages of so many men.

Recite the prayer of the Handmaids o f the Eucharist with awareness of its meaning; put it into practice; offer (whatever God may send) in reparation for sins.

Let each one endeavor, according to capacity and position, to offer herself entirely to the Lord.

The 3rd Message from Our Lady of Akita

The third and last message was given also by the voice from the statue of Virgin Mary on October 13, 1973.

My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you.

You will inform your superior.

As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity.

It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before.

Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful.

The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead.

The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son.

Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary.

With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.

The work o f the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops.

The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres, churches and altars sacked, the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God.

The thought o f the loss of so many souls is the cause o f my sadness.

If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.

The Authenticity of Our Lady of Akita

On April 22, 1984, Bishop Ito writes that he does not find in the events “any elements which are contrary to Catholic faith and morals.”

He asserts “the supernatural character of a series of mysterious events concerning the statue” in the convent, authorizes “the veneration of the Holy Mother of Akita” within the Diocese of Niigata, and clarifies that the events were a private revelation and not necessary for salvation like public revelation.

In June 1988, Ito meets with Cardinal Ratzinger (later, Pope Benedict XVI), head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF).

The Relation Between Our Lady of Akita and the Lady of All Nations

By the way, the wooden statue of Our Lady of Akita had been carved by Saburo Wakasa, a Japanese sculptor based on the Lady of All Nations.

The Lady of All Nations is a Catholic Marian title associated with alleged apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Ida Peerdeman of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The wooden statue of Our Lady of Akita had been carved by Saburo Wakasa, a Japanese sculptor based on the Lady of All Nations. Thus, Our Lady of Akita is doing the same pose as that of the Lady of All Nations.

Furthermore, on June 29, 1973, Sr. Sasagawa heard the guardian angel reciting the prayer of the Lady of All Nations.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, send Your Soul Spirit over the earth.

Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations, that they may be preserved from degeneration, disaster and war.

May the Lady of All Nations, be our Advocate.

Amen!

According to Sr. Sasagawa, the voice of the guardian angel was even more beautiful and pure just like a heavenly sound.

Surprisingly, the angel recited the prayer of the Lady of All Nations strictly word for word.

Therefore, Our Lady of Akita is closely related to the Lady of All Nations.

Peerdeman claimed to have received 56 visions of the Lady from 1945 to 1959.

Amazingly, the Lady of All Nations had predicted many future events, such as, Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948, the development of chemical weapons, the Cold War, the first manned landing on the moon in 1969, the black civil rights movement in the early 1960s, the rising number of natural catastrophes, the deterioration of society, the increase of atheists around the world, the collapse of communism in 1989, the outbreak of the Gulf War in 1991 and the introduction of the euro in 2002 and so on.

In this way, the prophecies of the Lady of All Nations came true.

Considering the prophecies of the Lady of All nations have been fulfilled with great accuracy, we cannot overlook the prophecies of Our Lady of Akita.

Coincidence of Our Lady of Fatima

By the way, it was on October 13, 1974 when the miraculous cure of Sr. Sasagawa’s deaf ears.

Why did the miraculous cure happen on October 13 rather than another day?

Interestingly, the great miracle of Fatima happened on October 13, which was also the last day of the apparitions.

About this matter, Father Yasuda said,

In order to prove the truth and the supernatural character of the warning of Fatima, a miraculous and tangible sign was necessary.

This sign was given on the same day, October 13, which will remain doubly memorable because it is at once the day of the message and the day of the healing.

Thus, the miraculous cure which happened to Sr. Sasagawa seems more than mere coincidence.

Furthermore, Sr. Sasagawa was taught a prayer from the guardian angel.

Amazingly, the prayer was just the same as taught by the Virgin to the three shepherd children at Fatima.

In this way, Our Lady of Akita is also closely related to Our Lady of Fatima.

Therefore, when Bishop Ito was asked,

What is the message o f Our Lady of Akita?

He answered simply,

It is the message of Our Lady o f Fatima.

Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Akita with Bishop Ito

The heart of the third message given by Our Lady at Akita is a warning which can be summed up as follows.

If men do not repent and better themselves, there will be a terrible chastisement.

At Fatima, Our Lady had said that if Her requests were not heard, 

Error will spread from an atheist Russia throughout the entire world, fomenting further wars, the good will be persecuted, the Holy Father will suffer much, and several entire nations will be annihilated. 

Sr. Sasagawa said that after Our Lady spoke the face of the statue had an air of sadness.

So, we should listen Her warning.

The Expected Apparition of Our Lady Next Time

As described above, Our Lady had appeared in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in Fatima, Portugal and in Akita, Japan and repeats the same warning.

I summarized the apparitions of Our Lady in the following table.

The apparition of Our Lady next time would be around 2000 to 2020.

New Messages of the Guardian Angel Appeared to Sister Sasagawa for the First Time in More Than 30 years

In October 2019, shocking news that Sister Sasagawa received a new message from her guardian angel after more than 30 years of silence made headlines around the world.

According to the above article, Sister Sasagawa is now 88 years old.

She suffers from many health afflictions, including broken ribs and a tumor in the neck (recently miraculously healed by a priest).

By the way, the English translation in the above article includes some erroneous descriptions such as “like an child.”

By the way, what made the guardian angel give Sr. Sasagawa a new message after more than 30 years of silence?

Perhaps,

The doomsday is near at hand.

Actually, Sr. Sasagawa said in the 2nd message,

I felt the time is near.

Thus, we should focus on the future messages of Sr. Sasagawa to prepare for the approaching apocalypse.

As described above, Our Lady of Akita worked various miracles, such as the miraculous cures of a deaf woman and a patient with terminal brain cancer as well as the bleeding and weeping statue.

Nevertheless, some people still cannot believe these miracles.

For such skeptical people, I recommend that you go and see if the miracles of Our Lady of Akita are true.
